Finances are mining acquisitions

The players' scouting is a daily exercise which is taken over by the coach assistant Mario "The Sniper" Fagundez. Mario is the sole responsible of unsurpassable defender Oldenburger and attacking force's spear tip Van der Well signing into the club.

He says: "Spotting players is not as easy as it may seem to be. Not because the transfer pool is empty, au contraire, players who excel at the requisits we look for abound. The problem is in the finances department. The accountant pre-sets me with an exact budget that I can't get reckless with. Bids turn wild during the last moments of the auctions and cool-minded decisions are quite hard to take hold of. During my career I've went overboard a couple of times, but at this point of the season and planning the matches ahead, I can't get caught in the bidding frenzy. The search must go on."

Incomes are steadily growing, but club expenses are smothering any chance of hiring good quality players. Will we get a good winger by the time we face YuyinxD? Only time will tell.

Youthfulness in bloom

The little Runners just played abroad on a visit to our dearly beloved friends, the Golden Little Masks. The clash against the Golden Mascaritas proved the hard work to be done in days ahead.

The crushing defeat was in fact refreshing for the little rabid bear cubs, who claimed that the excitement of visiting another country, meeting the brotherly squad and finally comprehending the bonds of brotherhood and friendship that bonds our two clubs is a life-long lesson to be learned.

In the Mascaritas they've found good friends and hopefully everlasting relationships that transcend the pitch. Some of the Runners have expressed their feelings over this journey and how it helped them to get over the sorrow of their bad performance at the youth series.

The youngsters are lit up and eager to play back home.

We cannot express in words our gratitude towards GLM management staff, who assisted our kids and personnel in terms of accomodation, tours and some travel expenses. We'd like to repay in kind any time soon.

The top is higher than we expected

It's not like the team is doing badly. Not at all. Thing is, YuyinxD is getting stronger by the weekend and we must be well prepared to face them in three-weeks time.

Now an eight-goal difference sets us apart from the top and the samurais are trying their best to overcome its rivals by a larger margin, but to no avail. Last match was 7-0 for the samurais, but our bitter enemies went 8-0 on the final scoreboard.

It's not undermining though, since we're doing some pretty strong scouting looking for hawk-esque wingers to provide some vertigo on rival's sidelines. It's also important to take note of the fact that YuyinxD are playing with 3-5-2 formations lately and we have to come up with a counter-tactic soon.

We'll keep you posted on any further issues.

Today's match

We don't usually talk about matches before they take place, but today's different because we are quite excited about the game scheme good ol' coach Lambetain has been developing over these few days.

Fans complaint on friday and yesterday because of the coach's decision of having close-doors training exercises, but since they're expecting a favorable result, we are confident in bringing satisfaction to our beloved followers. The fan base is steadily growing, and with their utmost loyalty we hope to accomplish the League Cup.

Be sure to follow the match on HT Live if you can't attend to the Ken Watanabe Arena tonight, though we strongly encourage you to do it since we're having free giveaways for fans at the exit lounge.

On a side note: the samurai's apprentices, the Ashigaru Runners, are abroad for this week since they're playing their first international match at our great friend club GLM's stadium, The Golden Ring. The Runners are pitting against the Golden Mascaritas, and hopefully they'll raise the team spirit and morale a bit, since they're having no success at all in the youth series. Best of luck for both teams.

Plans ahead

The club's pouring all its effords in attaining the title of VI.536 Series. Truth be told, it's going quite smoothly, hard training, rehearsing formations and players' positions, pushing the envelope every sunday clash.

Only five weeks sets YuyinxD apart from us, and we better be prepared. The team's going into thorough scouting of quick wingers and head specialists for defence.

It's going to be a match to remember!

All cannons are aiming towards GRACIELA1, looking forward to blast away the opponents' net next sunday.

Not enough

Hello everyone, how have you been? As you know, the Samurais are doing quite well into the season but can't manage to reach our rivals, YuyinxD. We have to come clean about it: we are pissed about it.

The Samurais do win by lots of goals, but they just keep slipping out of our hands. We recently made a spectacular acquisition: newly hired Riny "The Raging Tulip" van der Well. His debut couldn't have been better, netting a hat-trick by constantly overwhelming the rivals. What a match!

Whilst the main Samurais are doing fine, the youngsters aren't performing so well. Maybe it's because of midterms or their first heartbreakes, but we soon have to fix that leek. It'll be a duly appointed subject.

We'll be writing soon for more info about the team.

Cheers.
