A blow to the face

First game in the series turned out to be a liquid-nitrogen shower. The team was completely overrun due to poor management of the squad. The main reason: the lads were exhausted after playing just 3 days ago for the Cup and the team for the series hadn't pulled out its finest playes, who were considerably worn out.

That being said, the Cup game was a good victory overall, but we always keep in mind that the League is what truly matters.

We'll keep you posted on any news regarding the team.

Promotion and beyond

First of all we'd like to address congratulations on the fierce Golden Little Masks and Harimau FC for their respective promotions. As for the Raging Aliens, we feel for the team; our support will never wane.

Now, when talking about the Samurais, lot of sports analysts have been making statements about the easy-going season we had. While part of this is true, it is also true that the team has improved in a gargantuan way; promotions from the youth squad and players trade have blown a breath of fresh air to the group and we are most satisfied about it.

We have earned promotion, but our road to glory is just getting started. The season ahead is extremely tough and it is now that our fans' support becomes paramount.

V.65 (33879) is a series that José Bandoleiro, the star anchorman in "ESPN Iberialísimo" (Spain's ESPN branch), states as the following: "V.65... I would call it "Hell's Boiling Room". It's one of the toughest and roughest series I have ever come across in my 29 years of sports journalism. The sheer thought of having such powerful teams with such appalling technique and strong leadership is the only thing necessary to propel a shuttle into space".

And we couldn't agree more.

That being said, Samurais' next match will be against "deportibo oriental" next thursday for the Cup.

Hope to see you all there!

Fiefdom secured

Hi there fans!

You might have been missing the club's reports, but rest assure the team is at its best shape ever.

Big news of the week was the overwhelming victory over GRACIELA last sunday with the scorer nearly bursting because of data overloading: 10-1! The Swiss-Knife Sylvester Altmann delivers true justice to his nickname, serving as proficiently in defensive as in attacking ranks; this match's hat-trick was his career's sixth! We are more than proud to have him on the team.

Riny van der Well and José Víctor Traverso have proven their offensive prowesses throughout the season, claiming 32 goals amongst the two, more than a third of the Samurais' goal count!

Our beloved Tomás Sténeri has landed a pretty decent deal with another team, and we are more than happy that he did.

The club is currently going through some facility upgrades and times are hectic when addressing the blog, but we are definitely improving not just for the club, but for our fans as well.

Cheers!

Departures on Season 3

The club is going through an easy-going period at the moment. Certainly fans have been our main source of strength and passion, and the team trains hard each week looking forward to fulfill fans' expectations on the field every sunday.

That being said, changes are taking place. It is normal for clubs to lose and gain players, but we like to make it memorable in any of those circumstances. Today we are sad about two of our players leaving the team: Tomás Sténeri and Santiago Vonder Putten. They both have contributed to the team on their own fields. Tomás has always been the prankster, pulling jokes and shenanigans inside and outside the pitch, memorable moments being netting a red card for an opposing team by constantly teasing one of their strikers' buttocks from behind on corner kicks and inviting a hand tackle to the face; he also once performed a huge prank involving board members and mistresses, though that came out somewhat wrong and got suspended for a month. We all laughed regardless of that.

Santiago Vonder Putten has been one of the main scorers of Season 1 and 2, keeping 28 balls inside the net and nailing hattricks on 3 matches. It may not be amazing, but that's before we tell you he's got only 50 TSI. We know what you're thinking, and he may not be as skillful as it looks, but once he steps onto the field it's like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. A fine striker on his dusk, may he find a good team to end his career with. We're certainly going to miss him, but he and the Samurais have to move on. He's leaving with his chin up high, always keeping his katana sharp.

And last, but not least, we want to be straight with all accusations emerging in the media. Juan Pedro Gottdank was indeed summoned to be part of the first team but his controversial and disrespectul attitude clashed against the responsibilities and values needed to be enrolled on a major team. We didn't forsee this, being our feelings guided on how well he behaved on the youth squad and recommendations from coach's assistant Simón Morena. We had to let Juan Pedro go, not before logging him into another football academy.

Youth team has been performing extremely good lately, with a couple of players about to make it to the main squad any time from now.

Have a good week everyone!

Flying high

Hi everyone, we've been drifting away from this blog because of executive board restructures, but we want you to know things are doing better than ever for the club in every single aspect.

Three games into the tournament and we are the solid leaders of the series by a good margin. Youths are taking a breather and the staff is stable, for now.

Sadly, not everything's as sunny as we'd like, and this is a matter we want to address as soon as possible with you, our beloved fans: this season has no real challenging rival to oppose our team. Now, don't take that lightly, every game is grabbed by the horns and going after the take down, sliding some dirty boxing when necessary. The Samurais never underrate a rival, but there are no pelusitas nor YuyinxD to boil blood over to.

I'm not quite sure what that meant, but you get the picture.

Stay tuned for more info about this glorious club. If you have any suggestions and/or request, please do let us know about them.

The third's the charmed!

Great start of our third season, winning against the only true contender this series has to offer.

We won't get too much into details ATM, but we will say that this is not a season to be taken lightly: since we're most confident in claiming the big trophy, we know next season will be harsh as wiping with sandpaper.

It's not enough to be the best, we have to be flawless.

Have a great season everybody!
